Good News for Car Buyers: Honda Slashes Prices Following GST Cut!

Following in the footsteps of Tata Motors, Mahindra, Hyundai, and several other leading brands, Honda has also announced exciting price cuts for its car lineup! This move comes after the government revised the GST rate structure last week, and Honda has confirmed that it will pass on the entire benefit of this cut directly to customers, effective 22nd September 2025.

This classic sub-4 metre sedan is available in two variants, earlier priced at ₹7,62,800 and ₹8,52,600 (ex-showroom Delhi).

✅ Third-gen Honda Amaze – Save up to ₹95,500!
The newer model, available in six variants, had prices ranging from ₹8,09,900 to ₹11,19,900 (ex-showroom Delhi).

✅ Honda Elevate – Get it for up to ₹58,400 less!
Competing with models like the Hyundai Creta, this premium SUV is available in nine variants with prices between ₹11,91,000 and ₹16,73,000.

✅ Honda City – Now up to ₹57,500 cheaper!
This legendary sedan, once the face of Honda in India, is still loved for its style and performance. Available in eight variants, prices ranged from ₹12,38,000 to ₹16,64,900.

📌 Note: The hybrid version, Honda City e:HEV, priced at ₹19,89,990, hasn’t seen a price cut because the government hasn’t extended GST relief to hybrid models. Hybrid cars continue to be taxed at the same rate as regular ICE vehicles.

What’s changing with the GST?

Right now, both Amaze variants attract 29% GST (including 1% Compensation Cess). But from 22nd September, this will drop to 18%, making these models much more affordable.
For the Elevate and City, the GST will be reduced from 45% (with 17% Compensation Cess) to 40%, giving buyers even more savings!
